180 Makeover - Collier's Corner (Lebanon)
Overview
The property, which has long been neglected, is planned to be restored to its previous look. The plan is to remove all non-masonry finishes that have covered the original storefronts, windows and doorways. Additionally, remove the existing storefronts and awnings, which are not historically accurate, and replace them with more time-similar finishes. The windows of the property have also been reframed to fit for “square window” versus using the full outline of the opening for the windows, that framework will be removed and the windows will be restored to historically accurate windows. The SOUTH face of the building will be stripped of the flaking plaster and reapplied with a more stable product and repainted to eliminate the building of the exterior flaws that are currently present. The back portion of the building will have the metal removed and the brick continued to the roof. This brick will be treated and painted to match the south face of the main building to provide more continuity. The building will require a new roof and new mechanicals as all HVAC, plumbing and electric will need to be replaced. Lastly, the interior will become one or two retail users with 2-4 apartments. READI funds will specifically be used for storefront repairs and electrical work. The project will begin in June 2024 and be completed by the end of 2024. Matching funds will be provided by Colliers Corner LLC.
