Overview

Advance, located in western Boone County, is the second smallest community with a population of approximately 500. Advance and its elected officials take great pride in their community and have long sought out opportunities to bring public art, color, and happiness to their community. The Town has proposed an interactive mural on the Town's building and other town-owned buildings, should funding allow. The Town of Advance will be responsible for maintaining the public art project past its initial funding. READI funds will specifically be used for artist fees (including artwork materials). Approximate timeline is April 2024 to October 2025. Matching funds will be contributed by the Indy Arts Council. Additional fundraising is expected but not secured.
