Overview

The assistance of READI funds will allow this project to be completed as part of a multi-location art infusion to Hendricks County. READI funds will primarily be used to secure artists and site preparation. The primary partners on this project will be Visit Hendricks County as the fiscal manager and the Hendricks County Arts Council as the operations manager and working directly with the Town of Danville. Matching dollars have been secured from Visit Hendricks County, the Hendricks County Arts Council, Indy Arts Council, and the Downtown Danville Partnership. With the READI award, we plan to officially launch the program, "Hues of Hendricks County: Art for Everyone" in April. Project Planning will take place through April where the locations will be finalized. Danville is one of the locations. In April we will have a call for artists, form a panel for artist submissions, and review artist submissions for each location. The administrative process will ramp up in May and June when we file easements with the County. The contract and design phase will be through July 2024 when we contract and work with artists to finalize design concepts. Art Installation will begin in the fall of 2024. In the event of a delay, installation could begin in the spring of 2025. Community engagement will be ongoing throughout the entire process where we will organize community events and engagement activities around the installed art.
