Broadway Landing
Overview
The Broadway Landing project will support the multi-use development, residential and commercial, in a 66-acre site along US 24 on the north side of Peru. The community has completed a hotel and housing study and is near completion of a health care study that indicate the proposed site is "perfect" for residential, commercial development and a potential site for new health care facilities. The $1 million in READI funding will extend water, sewer and road improvements approximately 2,500 feet into the site to provide a connection point for site developers. Miami County Economic Development Authority will provide the public match - $1 million to complete the infrastructure design and construction. The community is actively seeking site developers to build-out 85-90 new single-family homes and to build retail sites. Upon the completion of health care study, Miami County will pursue an attraction strategy for health care provider. The total private investment is estimated to be $70 million over the next 5 to 7 years. The water, sewer and road infrastructure project will be publicly bid 3rd quarter of 2023 and completed by the end of 2024.
